How to guarantee safety and quality in the food sector by adopting innovative non-destructive solutions and technologies
The agri-food sector is certainly one of the pride of our country and its national turnover is approximately 15% of the total turnover, deriving both from a consolidated tradition and from a particular attention to the quality of the product in the entire supply chain. For the entire agri-food chain we mean the set of economic, administrative and political agents who, directly or indirectly, define the path that a product must follow to get from the initial stage of production to the final stage of use, as well as the complex of interactions of activities of all the actors involved in this path. The entire sector, also in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs (Agenda 2030), is undergoing a rapid transformation and adaptation to various needs, with the aim of responding to:
environmental sustainability;
climate change;
production;
waste reduction;
working conditions;
processing / transformation processes;
quality of finished products;
food storage.
Innovation in this sector requires a complex process that integrates science, technology and the market. Research, development, design, production, as well as encouraging collaborations between private companies and public research institutes and bodies are some of the tools that make up the core of a complex organization.
AIPnD proposes itself as an element of connection between all the operators involved to make its contribution in the sector of diagnostics, legislation and food safety. The objectives of the Association concern the promotion of scientific and technical knowledge and the technological development of non-destructive tests through the perspective of enhancing the professional activities of those in this specific sector.
