What is the future of saffron cultivation in the era of climate change? This topic was discussed on May 16-17 during the webinars organized by METROFOOD-GR within the framework of METROFOOD-EPI. Specifically, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece (School of Chemistry, Laboratory of Food Chemistry and Technology) collaborated with Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran (Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agronomy) and the Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Education Center of Khorasan-Razavi, Mashhad, Iran, bringing together producers and scientists to discuss the current sustainability of Crocus sativus L. in the era of climate change.
