Report including a summary of the user engagement procedures defined for the infrastructure and its future operation and the experience accumulated during the first 23 months of METROFOOD-PP project. After a synthesis of the basic user engagement terminology,

it details the participatory process and summarises the concepts of open science, inter- and trans-disciplinarity and citizen science, with a focus on Living Labs as a strategic tool for realising a co-creation approach. Afterwards, the experience related to the use cases realised in METROFOOD-PP for providing access to selected services (provided in the frame of WP8) – at the state reached in October 2021 – is summarised with specific reference to the user engagement, along with the lessons learned from them. In agreement with the PO, the deliverable is submitted after the entry into force of the GA Amd, labelling it as “public”.
